Karina Osyn had always believed she was meant for something special even as she was tending to the sheep on her family's farm. As a new member of the Adarian Disciples, she fondly remembered when the town priest had selected her at a young age to serve the Lady of Light at the temple and how sad while at the same time, proud her parents were of her. To be honest, she was more than a little afraid of being so far away from home but she took to her training quickly and within a few years, she heard Adaria's warm and soothing voice in her head at her ceremony where she was to be ordained into the order of the disciples, Karina nearly broke down and cried with joy in front of the elders. Fortunately, the church elders understood her reaction at the time and accepted her into the ranks of the Adarians. She shall never forget that day as long as she lived.
However, at this very moment, while her faith to her goddess was as strong as ever, Karina's first official assignment to travel to a remote prison at the request of the authority of the church, as a representative of sorts, listening to confessions to any of the inmates willing to be redeemed by becoming converted into the faith as well as giving what small comfort she can and granting last rites to those condemned to die for their crimes was not the grand holy quest she envisioned Adaria would sent her on.
Still the ways of the glories of the Light is never easy to fathom and as a lay member of the Adarian Disciples, Karina must not question such doctrine and just merely perform the appointed duty given to her by the holy church regardless of any personal feelings of growing unease.
